James H. Ryan, 67, of 2126 County Road 2000 E, Minonk, died at 3:05 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 15, 2004) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, El Paso, the Rev. Bobby Niemtschk officiating. Burial will follow in El Paso Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Mr. Ryan was born Nov. 26, 1936 in Pontiac, a son of John and Florence Hawk Ryan. He married Patricia Reinkensmeyer on June 5, 1960, in El Paso. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Debra (Daniel) Fleming, LeRoy; a son, Doug (Marie) Ryan, Combine, Texas; three grandchildren, Ryan Fleming and Emily and Hunter Ryan; two brothers; John Ryan, Minonk; and Warren Ryan, San Francisco, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Ryan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Illinois National Guard.
He farmed in the Minonk area for 30 years and for the past 13 years has been employed by Bernardi Italian Foods, Toluca.
